What is the Radio Bible Hour?

The Radio Bible Hour is a 501c3 non-profit religious organization founded in 1935. It is one of the oldest radio ministries in the United States.  It's mission is the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through various media, mission work, and Christian training of pastors and lay people.  It is doctrinally Baptist, and was founded by J. Harold Smith, a Baptist pastor and evangelist.
The Radio Bible Hour is a member of the National Religious Broadcasters and is rated by Ministry Watch.  RBH makes its home in Newport, Tennessee, and is under the direction of Dr. J. Donald Smith, son of the founder of the ministry.

Who is J. Harold Smith?

Dr. J. Harold Smith is the founder of the Radio Bible Hour, and served as president of the organization until his home-going in 2001.  During his ministry years he served as a pastor and evangelist, was Southern Baptist, and was a pioneer in the use of broadcast media in Christian ministry.

What does it mean to be a Christian? How can I know I'm saved?

You can hear it anytime by listening to our online broadcasts, by going to our broadcast page.  You may choose to listen to it now, or download/podcast it for future use.  If you would like to hear it on the radio, go to our station locator to find the closest station to you. We also have a YouTube channel, where excerpts of sermons of the past and present are uploaded for your use in witnessing or personal Bible study.
